Memories of us chasing sunsets with burnt corn in hand is not calming anymore,
the smell of wet mud, the sight of the sea is haunting, life isn’t endless, not boundless,
not calm, serene as sunrises, not pleasant as the sounds of 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 along with the cold breeze, life is ruthless as the other side of the sea, love is that tectonic plates disturbing sea’s and its peace,
Memories of winter, with hot chocolates at 3 am, favourite books and you- aren’t special anymore to recall, reminisce and dwell in, cold weather is piercing, pictures of your hands clutching my wrist: us sharing heat, moon, couch, arms are aching?
Memories in me aren’t those 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥𝘴, blurred windows, half-eaten burgers, unwashed clothes and unopened juice tins,
My room does not smell of your strong perfume, my bed does not have pillows stained in black tea, my kitchen does not have unused packets of peanut butter and wheat bread, my balcony does not have bonsai, my phone does not have multiple alarms, the corners of 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 do not echo your voice, maybe, maybe, you are still haunting my days, nights, residing in memories without my knowledge?
*exhales*

  7. now that’s what I’d call breathing meditation, Hema… and when, and if when appears as here and now, and all one can focus on is *inhale**exhale*….. I cheat and add in bits, like the tip of my nose as it goes hot and cold with in-out, unrespectively of course…. I have also found that in spite of a desire to paint colourful mindscapes the release of the grasp from my senses reveals a rather sublime and serene greythus….is and gone at one and the same time…. trust yourself, Hema….
